# Wishly

> Wishly is a web app that remembers birthdays, anniversaries and other special days and automatically sends heartfelt wishes from the user's own WhatsApp, Email, Telegram, Discord or Slack accounts — at the exact minute they choose, in the recipient's timezone.

Wishly is free to start at https://wishly.app/. Messages are sent from the user's own accounts ("Bring Your Own Channel"), not from a generic bot number, so they feel personal. Channel credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.

## What Wishly does

- **Scheduled wishes:** Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, milestones and holidays. They repeat yearly and can be sent at 12:01 AM or any time you choose, in each recipient's timezone. Feb 29 birthdays are sent on Feb 28 in non-leap years.
- **Your own channels:** WhatsApp (pair your phone with a QR code), personal email over SMTP (Gmail, Outlook, custom), Telegram (bot or personal account), Discord webhooks and Slack webhooks.
- **AI-written messages:** Choose a tone: heartfelt, funny, poetic, professional or short. Templates fill in variables like `{name}`, `{relation}` and `{years}`; for example, `{years}` becomes "30th".
- **Greeting cards and reels:** Designed cards and animated celebration reels. Recipients open an interactive card at a private link, with a wax-sealed envelope, confetti, emoji reactions and a guestbook.
- **Group cards:** Share a signing link so friends and colleagues can add notes and stickers before the day.
- **Advance reminders:** A heads-up 1, 3 or 7 days before, so there's time to plan a gift.
- **Calendar and contacts:** A live `.ics` subscription feed for Google, Apple and Outlook calendars, plus CSV and iCal import.
- **Dispatch logs:** The delivery status of every wish, with retry.
